Born in Cuba, immigrated to the US at age 10, lived in Miami until I moved to El Paso at age 20. Then I met my husband and it has been home ever since! I began my career as a scribe, while going to school for my BSN at UTEP, and worked as an RN for over 5 years in the intensive care unit before going back to school for my masters. I graduated from UTEP in 2019 with adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner MSN. I then worked trauma/general surgery for 2 years then transitioned into critical care role. I then had my two little boys and had to switch gears, currently practicing hospital medicine. Seeing adults of all ages, backgrounds and cultures, they all had one thing in common: Obesity! There born the idea of Infinite Wellness. I strongly believe that although yes, we all want to be skinny and look and feel good in our own skin, there is also so much more value to staying healthy. Obesity is the leading cause of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and many other chronic conditions that can be prevented. My vision is to focus on the prevention of such disease by helping every single person that comes here to lose weight and feel great!

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I started my journey in healthcare as a freshman in high school at the Bel Air Center for Health Professions where I completed the emergency medical technician program. Although I never practiced as an EMT I did take and pass the National Registry Exam to receive my certification as an EMT-Basic. After high school I attended the University of Texas at El Paso and graduated with my bachelor's degree in nursing in December 2009. I went on to work for 10 years as a registered nurse in ICU, CVICU and cardiac cath lab. In 2016 I enrolled in Grand Canyon University's adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner program and graduated in 2019. I spent the next 3 ½ years working in critical care/pulmonology before taking a position as a hospitalist where I currently remain in practice. In my 14 years of professional experience, I have seen firsthand what science has already proven: obesity greatly increases one's risk for diabetes, heart disease, stroke and other serious health problems. I too have struggled with obesity throughout my life. I have gone through periods of being very fit followed by periods of being sedentary and obese. Lynn and I have opened Infinite Wellness Weight Loss Center with a goal to make a positive change in our lives and the lives of others. We not only want to help people look better but to ultimately help people reduce their risk of serious obesity related health complications.
